Michael Salimbene’s dreams of pursuing a career in dramatic arts and voice started when
he was very young. He had sung along with musical recordings for most of his life; in
church and in various projects. When his voice matured he decided to follow his
heart and make a career in the performing arts industry. Since that moment, He has
studied voice under the direction of World Renown Vocal Coaches and Teachers. Michael
is a proud graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City
and has continued his education through The New School University in New York City,
Alvin Ailey, and Broadway Dance Center. He always trains with the brightest and some of the greatest talent, which gives him the
best preparation and education to help him reach his career goals of performing on a
Broadway Stage and perchance recording his own music for the world to discover.
Performing in New York Theatres, National Tours, Regional Theatre, and College
productions has taught Michael, that this life is demanding, both physically and mentally.
Living life according to the values his family and grandparents have taught him is very
important to Michael and integral to all of his goals. These values include trusting in
God, honoring the Salimbene name, respecting and caring for others, and taking
audiences on a wonderful journey through acting and song. One of his long-term goals is
to continue his grandfather’s work to conquer Parkinson’s disease. As the philosopher
Leo C. Rosten once said, "The purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be
honorable, and to be compassionate. It is, after all, to matter: to count, to stand for
something, to have made some difference, than lived at all." I want to make a difference
in everything I do.
Being a wonderful storyteller through my music helps me to make a difference. I want
my audience to love everything about my song, from my voice to the emotion I convey
within the song. No matter what life brings me, I always want to do what I love and
respect everyone.
